About the Author

Jennifer Lawrence, PhD

Jennifer has been dancing for 36 years and teaching for 22.  In August of 2014, Jennifer opened her own dance studio in Morgantown, West Virginia. 

With a mixed academic and artistic background, she has cultivated strong interests in pedagogy, curriculum creation, and innovative program methodology.  After years of creating new programs, experimentation, and hands-on testing, Jennifer has decided to share her programs with teachers in an easy to use and understand format.

Jennifer also holds a PhD in French Language and Literature from the University of Pittsburgh, where she worked as a graduate teaching fellow during her coursework.  She took a special interest in Foreign Language pedagogy and curriculum development, which she has used to influence her teaching across the board.  She taught as adjunct faculty at West Virginia University and served simultaneously as coordinator of the graduate teaching assistants and adjunct faculty in French and the director of the beginning and intermediate French language program.  She currently serves as adjunct faculty for Southern New Hampshire University's College of Online and Continuing Education.
